I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (Newark, NJ) in Dec 2015
Interview
Best interview process ever! I applied online (my best friend also works for them so I put her as a reference) and within two days got an invitation to complete an online web interview. After I completed that, I received an email inviting me to interview in person within the next two weeks. I called the number and scheduled my interview for that Thursday at the nearest airport (Newark, NJ and I am located in Atlanta, GA.) They flew me out Wednesday night and I interviewed that Thursday at 9am. I recommend that you LEAVE EARLY as they do not accept tardiness. I arrived about 45 mins early just to allow myself enough time for the shuttle to the airport and find my way to the interview room. I got a little lost but all of the united employees there were extremely helpful and one even escorted me to where I needed to go! I showed up and there were about 15 other applicants sitting there waiting. I was a little intimidated but everyone was nice. Make sure you socialize with everyone while you're waiting... they want to see if you can get along with new people! The recruiters arrived shortly after and escorted us. They were so nice! I thought to myself, wow.. this is such an amazing company! During my interview, the gentleman asked me numerous situation and personality questions and I answered them. We laughed and he really took the edge of the actual interview off!! I wasn't as nervous anymore... it felt like I was just talking to a friend. He then said he wanted me to speak with his bosses and escorted me down the hall. Then, two more recruiters came to get me... they asked me a few more questions and then stepped out for a moment. After about 3 mins, they came back and offered me an invitation to training!! I was so excited, I couldn't contain myself! I get to work with the best airline in the world! This truly was the most memorable interview experience I have participated in and I would recommend anyone to work for this amazing company! Don't be nervous but do study your material prior to interviewing and you will be fine!! Good luck!

I applied online. I interviewed at United Airlines (San Francisco, CA)

First, you have to apply it and submit your application on United website when the flight attendant opposition is opening.
Then, you will get an assessment, kinda like a personality test.
Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
Completed the assessment and attended the optional Q&A teams meeting , I am now awaiting the virtual face to face . It’s been almost a month of waiting however in the Q&A meeting they mentioned that it can take some time possibly towards the end of summer .
