I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty in Feb 2015
Interview
I was first contacted and interviewed with the store manager and then followed up with the DM about a week later. It was a pretty basic retail management interview, just a serious of "Tell me about a time when" style of questions. If you are reasonably good a customer service and coaching you'll be fine.

Question 1
The only question that kind of threw me for a loop was "Tell me about a time you showed integrity" I think most people who have integrity just practice it daily, so, it was hard to come up with some specific example,, it's not like I've been in an Erin Brokovich situation before.
Pretty straight forward , typical questions, not very difficult. Only one interview, not multiple interviews. Job was offered within a couple days. Interview experience will definitely depend on who is doing the interviewing and how experienced they are.
Easy and friendly, I was made to feel comfortable and it was quick and cordial. Pretty standard retail type interview. Professional. Questions were neither too personal or too difficult. Easy to come up examples to fit scenarios asked. I felt good vibes from the two managers I met with.

What made a successful day working in a previous job
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2020
Interview
Over the phone and then in person. Pretty basic questions and simple interactions. The individual who interviewed me was quite late which I found to be unprofessional on their end.
