I applied through other source. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty
Interview
The initial process was pretty simple. The store used Craigslist to promote submitting an application online for available positions in their locations, they contacted me quickly, I had indicated I was seeking full-time employment. They were happy with m nervier and indicated that I would have to bring in a model and perform a color service and a haircut FOR FREE in order to demonstrate my skills. So I did. Then they called saying they had a schedule for me of 22 hours a week! Acted like I should jump on this meager part time job with me applying for a full time position with 13 years of experience. I'm sorry but that is rude to string a professional along through this process then it isn't even a position that could be considered a livelihood. It is pathetic and a reflection of the quality of the management and leadership of this company.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most unexpected question would be "Can you tell me about an experience where you felt you had good service and why"
I applied through other source. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Stockton, CA) in May 2012
Interview
I originally applied in january after being told that they were going to begin hiring soon. i filled out an application on line and called to follow up the next week. The general manager said they were going to send my resume to the district manager and would call me to let me know approximate start date. i call the following week and the GM says he has no record of me applying. I re apply . Then ,call to follow up the next week and they say they are not hiring, WTH. Then 3 weeks later i get a phone call asking me to come to an interview in 2 weeks. over all i would say this location is poorly ran. I seems to have a revolving door for management and no one knows whats going on. Definitely not the store for me.
