I had at telephone interview with a consulting company recruiter January 2017, for the Business Program/Project Manager 10+months contract to hire position at USAA, followed with a panel phone interview with two (2) USAA VPs and one (1) USAA HR person January 18, 2017. On February Friday, 3, 2017, I accepted the 10+ month contract to hire Business Program/Project Manager position and I was informed my start date at USAA was Monday, February 20, 2017. I submitted my resignation letter two weeks in advance (14-business days) on Monday, February 6, 2017, where I currently was employed. I completed the required pre-employment drug screen and pre-employment background check was successfully completed. On Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 5:15 P.M., I received an e-mail from the consulting company recruiter stating, "I have some bad news. USAA has informed us that they have canceled the position that you were hired for." I was very upset, because I had resigned from my previous position and now I had no job, and no health insurance. This was very unethical! Even though I didn't serve in the military, this didn't follow the mission or values of USAA, “Service. Loyalty. Honesty. Integrity,. or the consulting company either, “Putting the Customers, Consultants & the Community First.”
