I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at USAA (Tampa, FL) in Aug 2017
Interview
I've applied to USAA a few times. All other times I wasn't even given an assessment. This past time I was referred by a current employee, applied, got an assessment request about a week later, a phone interview request the next day, and an in person interview request whilst on the phone for the following Monday.
After that I heard nothing. No emails, no calls. I was told the start date and still did not receive an offer or rejection a week out. It was incredibly unprofessional, in my mind.

Question 1
Tell me a time you went above and beyond for a client.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at USAA (Chesapeake, VA) in Apr 2018
Interview
I applied between January & February. I got a call to set up a phone interview in April. I did the phone interview the next week and a face to face interview the next day. The phone interview was very informative. They asked the usual questions and told me what the salary and hours would be. The face to face interview had about 4-5 situational questions as well as the usual interview questions. They also told me in depth what the job would be like and the specifics of what the hours would be for training and post training. By the end of the week I was told I was being offered a conditional offer of employment pending a background check. After the phone interview it was a very quick process.

Question 1
Can you give an example of a time where you had to multitask?

Interview
I had a phone interview and in-person interview with managers. I was selected for a background and drug screen. I was specifically advised that as long as I cleared the background and drug screen I would get an offer. The background took close to one month. In the end I received a group email, including me and eleven other potential hires, stating that we had all cleared the background check but the upcoming training class we had interviewed for was filled, and if a spot opened up I would be notified, or they would contact me for the next start date. I thought the group email was very unprofessional. I now have access to the other eleven candidates' emails, and obviously, their identities. If you apply, keep looking for another job.
