Interview Overview:
I interviewed for a Recruitment Consultant position and, as a recruiter with 8+ years’ experience, found the interview fell short of the standards typically expected for a role of this nature.
The Experience:
Content: The discussion focused heavily on basic or logistical questions and did not meaningfully cover core recruitment competencies such as stakeholder management, end-to-end delivery, KPIs, or data-driven decision making.
Engagement: There was limited exploration of my background or how my experience could add value to the team.
Tone: The interaction felt dismissive at times, which impacted the overall candidate experience.
Feedback:
For a senior recruitment role, a more structured, role-relevant interview would better reflect the complexity of the position and strengthen the employer brand.

Waisted my time to go to CBD for interview to be told I was going to be sent the next day to 3 potential interviews for roles. Never heard from them again. I had to keep following up and eventually gave up
