      Javascript Engineer Interview

      2 Feb 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bogotá, Bogota
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Twilio (Bogotá, Bogota) in Nov 2015

      Interview

The process took around 3 months since the process started, without counting from the time I applied until they contacted me. I had a first phone interview with a tech manager for Authy(Company bought by Twilio). After that I had 3 skype calls with 3 different engineers, 2 of them asked me to solve a code test. After that I went to their offices in Bogotá to spend a entire working day working with 2 engineers on a small web app. After 2 months of not hearing from them, the recruiter contacted me out of the blue to book a last interview with another engineer and he asked me some javascript questions. The day after that final meeting, I received an email saying that they decided to go with someone else. They were somewhat professional, especially with the lack of information and long time waiting to be contacted back. Also the fact that the process took more than 3 months, with several time consuming interviews made this a negative and frustrating experience.

      Question 1

To solve a tricky code problem using javascript.
