The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Twilio (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Applied to the posting online. Got a call from the recruiter asking some basic fit questions. Recruiter scheduled a conversation with the hiring manager. Hiring manager interview was quite detailed. No tough questions, we spoke around my experience and the opportunity. The hiring manager was basically trying to see if this was the right fit for both of us. I was then called for an onsite interview but before coming onsite I had to complete an assignment which was fairly interesting. I prepped a lot for the assignment but was disappointed that the interview panel didn't talk about the assignment during the interview. No reference to the assignment at all. It felt like Twilio is scouting for ideas from potential candidates. I read here on Glassdoor that other Product Management candidates have had the same experience.
The onsite interview was around 4 hours long. Panel was a mix of tech lead and product managers. Nothing too difficult but I got the sense there is a lot of ambiguity on how Twilio works so there is no clearly defined problem. Plus their approach to product management I felt was backwards. They don't follow some of the basic principles of the traditional product management life cycle which is a typical sign of an engineering led company rather than a PM led company. Seems like they don't build products outside-in rather they do it inside-out.
In general, I got the sense that Twilio is a fairly fast paced org and are doing some really cool things in cloud communications space. People were very motivated and enjoyed working there but it doesn't feel like it has a matured and strong Product Management practice.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Twilio (Tallinn)
Interview
3 conversations with HR in general, and 5 with the team - each for 1 hour. Mostly the behavior questions. Mark as difficult due to amount of interviews and sessions.
It was comprehensive and professional and the people were very knowledgeable. There were multiple video interviews that lasted about an hour each. The interview process was well managed. The interviewers were very clear about the role.
