Recruiter scheduled 15 min call to give an overview of the role and shared salary details which was unusual and salary was jaw dropping. He said he will confirm with hiring manager about my application. He drops the phone before 15 min mark. Send me an email within 2 min saying manager has asked to finish some exercise and I need to respond. Basically a document or presentation on a particular case study. I spent 5 days to come up with a presentation answering their questions with lots of details, metrics, customer first approach etc. I sent it via email to recruiter, he acknowledged within 5 mins and got the rejection in another 10 min saying manager didn’t like the responses. This sounds too quick. I am not mad but it seems like this was one of the diversity checkbox exercise for them. Seems like recruiter did meet that criteria. No feedback was provided.

I very rarely write reviews (neither positive or negative) however felt compelled to write one as the interview process with Twilio was the best I have ever had. The recruiter I worked with was very proactive in keeping me up to date on the next steps, he always got back to me within a day or two. While the outcome was not what I had hoped, I wanted to give kudos to the recruiter for taking the time to give me feedback after the interview process.
