It was straightforward. First, there was an interview with the hiring manager and then we were introduced to the team. From there, we were assigned topics to write on with the help of AI.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Truly (Atlanta, GA)
Interview
I loved working with everyone on the Truly team. It began with the recruiter, who was excited, patient and informative throughout the entire process. From the first call to the last, the recruiter made the process smooth and enjoyable. It continued with the managers and senior personnel. Each demonstrated a love for Truly and a strong interest in how we could fit together - not just an interest in what I could do for them.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Truly (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2020
Interview
Extremely transparent, the interview process with Truly took time, but I was made aware what was going on the entire time. I was given a heads up when I should expect a call and a follow up and was also given consistent feedback from the recruiter about what I should expect.
It started with a phone screening which was easily the most productive phone screening I have ever received, the recruiter gave me a great breakdown of the company, the role expectations and the company values.
I then received a follow up from the COO who did another screening, this is where I was able to fully understand the learning and development opportunities within the team.
While this was all happening the recruiter was giving me feedback and assisting in the process in any way that he could even though he was in and out of the doctors office. I never felt like I had to wait on him, he even called from the doctors office when I had a one off question.
I received a second follow up call which was much shorter and then was set up for an on-site. The on-site felt tailored for me, I made it aware early on that customer success was a big priority of mine, and the first portion of the interview was with the CSM. I then had a chat again with the COO, followed up by the CEO and then a presentation with the team. This gave me a great opportunity to understand where the team was aligned and how they were working together towards a common goal.
After the interview, I received a call the next day with feedback and a request for referrals. Once referrals were back I was set up with a time to discuss with the COO the decision and received an offer. The offer was in my inbox by the end of the day and I received a call from the recruiter to congratulate me around 6PM outside of his normal working hours.
My biggest take from this process with Truly was the sincere and genuine personality of the recruited and the overall transparency of the team from top to bottom.
Highly recommend the team from an interview and recruitment perspective and I will update in the future on my time in the workplace.
