      Data Analyst Interview

      7 Mar 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Orem, UT
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Troomi (Orem, UT) in Mar 2025

      Interview

I applied for a job and was contacted the next day to schedule a virtual interview. Typically, I expect an initial phone call before a virtual interview, so I was unsure of what to expect. The interview was conducted by a panel of three people who asked standard coding and technical questions. However, without prior notice, they required me to complete a live coding test while sharing my screen. It felt like multiple technical interviews condensed into a 45-minute session, though they were helpful and guided me through parts of it. What stood out most was that the job was advertised as remote, yet during the interview, I was informed that the position requires full-time in-office work for 3–6 months, with only a possibility of hybrid work afterward. This discrepancy between the job listing and the actual requirements was unexpected and concerning.
