I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Metiss Group
Interview
Extremely lengthy, demanding, and intrusive. Finding the right candidate for the job is kind of their thing, so when looking for someone to join their team, they went all in, creating an extremely lengthy and inconvenient process to "weed out" poor candidates. They probably lost a lot of outstanding candidates who didn't have the time or willpower (read burnout) to meet all their demands. The interview process included two personality type tests, an initial Zoom screening interview with one team member, another in-person interview with the owners, an interview with the whole team, and an interview with a 3rd party company who also, for some reason,n got to decide if you were a candidate since you'd be working almost directly for them. It turns out this position was going to require months of training with a third-party company, where they would then review all your contributions and content to decide if it met their expectations and aligned with their specific marketing program ideas. This interview process was one of the most stressful I've ever encountered. It included a lot of red flags that I don't think the owners are aware of in the modern work world, including not posting salary, asking for completed work for free, more interviews with more people than necessary, "we are like a family here", bait and switch kind of you can work from anywhere but actually we want you in the office all the time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked so many questions that I can't remember them all. They went to great lengths to ensure I had the correct personality type and emotional intelligence, which honestly felt a bit discriminating. Especially since, they often referred to it in the interview process, but I wasn't able to see the results or even know exactly to what they were referring.
