In the interview, Peter said that for this position of teaching 10 children by myself, from about 8-3pm, for a full school year, I would get about $20,000 and no benefits. I have a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and over 3 years of specifically teaching preschool, plus two more years teaching experience with slightly older children. The Croft School is definitely not offering "competitive" compensation. I ended the interview early and decided not to continue with my application, because I felt the salary was way too low.
