I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Templafy (Eindhoven) in Nov 2021
Interview
1- HR meeting interview
2- 20-30 min online coding challenge
3- 1 Hour Basic C# project code review with 2 engineers
4- 1 Hour ASP.Net API project code review with 1 engineer
5- 1 Hour culture fit interview with a director and a manager
6- 30 Mins of talk with CEO
After everything, HR told me even though I passed every step but they over hired and won't be hiring me. She also said that she will add me on Linkedin and when a new position opens, she will invite me but got no invitations.
Very unprofessional and just waste of time for everyone and then to add insult to injury, false promises.

Interview
As per the recruiter below is the process.
1. Recruiter call 30min
2. Online test 20min
3. Technical interview 1hour
4. Pair programming
5. Culture test
I got rejected after the third round technical interview. Applied online and recruiter reached out next day. After initial screening with recruiter was sent an online qualified test which was timed multiple choice questions where each question is timed. You can pass notes during the test which is also reviewed.Few hours later recruiter called with positive feedback and to schedule next round of technical interview which is code review. Till this round I had positive experience mainly due to the recruiter who was very professional and quick to respond.
Coding round was with two developers where one of them will share their screen and give you control. You have to look at the code and come up with what's wrong. One of the developers was very quite and didn't utter a word when I keep saying the issues with the code. He kept moving occasionally form his seat looking somewhere else which was not only distracting but seems uninterested. Other developer occasionally responds saying he agrees with what you say.Apart from that they just look at you even when you ask any questions be it about the requirement or for any hints you get blank stare and no response which makes some candidates uncomfortable. This code review was from the real code review happens in any software organization. There is no spec, no collaboration with the author to understand the requirement or ask questions which is typical of a code review process. code reviews are effective when atleast basic information is provided and reviewer questions are answered. Next day recruiter came back that they will not proceed further although I was able to identify few issues I missed some errors in couple of areas. I have communicated these gaps in code review round to recruiter who said will pass to team which undermines candidate ability to perform well

Interview
Interview process was just extraordinary!
Talent partner is definitely a Partner! I felt supported and confident during the whole journey.
At first it might seem that having so many stages (I counted 7) and spending a month on them is too much, but it gives you an opportunity to talk to different people and look at company from different perspectives through their eyes.
Compared to other companies, the process was very predictable and well organized.
Company ensures to hire people that match their culture, and apart from evaluating a culture fit a bit during technical interviews has 3 parts specifically for culture fit: 10 mins test, 1:2 with engineering management and leadership and 1:1 with the CEO.
Technical parts were pretty easy, there are 3 of them: coding quiz, 1:1 with an engineer, 1:1 with CTO.
The best part is the pair-programming session with the CTO where you can dig into their codebase to implement a simple feature discussing the trade offs and catch a glimpse of the way they work. It was also fun and I believe such sessions could give you a lot of understanding of how a person thinks.
Conversations are relaxed and informal, without any stress, like talking to friends.
Everyone is very positive and professional.
Company is growing incredibly fast, so there is a good opportunity to join it now and add value to it. I wish I could have been there.
Glad to hear about your positive experience - especially that you feel it was a stress-free process. The number of stages varies from position to position, but it can be a little bit overwhelming at first. The idea is to make sure that both the candidate and Templafy will be happy about the decision. Meaning, it’s crucial for both parties to meet different kinds of people within the organization. Thanks for sharing your experiences. We are working on reducing the number of stages to as few as possible while maintaining the same experience and quality.
