HR called and I missed the call, representative left a message advising their name, the company they represent, and the role they are calling me about. I returned the call 30 minutes after. The representative answered and asked if I was a good time to speak. I said it was. Immediately, the representative asked me questions as if it was a phone interview that I did not prep for, since I'm just returning a call. Rep did not explain the position at all, just asked question after question. Rep was nice but the way they conducted the phone interview out of no where was rude. If you're going to ask for a salary expectation, have the courtesy to summarize the job description during the conversation.
