I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TELUS in Feb 2023
Interview
DO NOT APPLY IF ON WORK PERMIT. The process is easy as explained on the website. I did all the processes according to the requirements and performed pretty well in each interview. My profile also matched all the requirements but they rejected me without any explanation. Reason (in my opinion): I am on work permit not a Canadian citizen or pr holder. Pretty awful reason to reject. If they don't want employees working on work permit, they should mention it on the GTLP website so that we dont waste our time. I guess they don't want to give away there "diversity" awards.

Question 1
Why GTLP? Explain database to 8 year old. Troubleshoot internet.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at TELUS (Vancouver, BC) in May 2024
Interview
Exactly as described on the website. Resume screen, psychometric test + hardly ethical pseudo-IQ test, phone screen, video case study for 5 mins, then director panel.
Not only is the second part of the psychometric test (their pseudo lQ test) barely ethical, it's also ridiculous that a company even tests this to begin with and their lack of human interaction basically until the final stages makes the process feel hollow.
The recruiter was nice and that's probably the only saving grace here. Phone screen was a lot of eligibility questions along with how would you explain this concept to a 5 year old + why GTLP.
The panel interview at the end was a bunch of situational questions. I was sad to see they didn't ask me anything from my resume, nor did their technical question actually test any knowledge. At least one question asked to design an appliance product, but they refused to actually give any details on what they were looking for along with the requirements of the product; basically a system design with no actual discussion. They focused on vague questions like 'what is leadership' or 'why gtlp'. Be prepared to pretty much create answers sucking up to their values.
Be prepared for 80k a year with no job growth until the end of year 2 if you accept.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TELUS (Edmonton, AB) in Sept 2022
Interview
Multiple rounds of interview, including a phone interview, presentation and a virtual interview. The virtual interview round was the trickiest with some technical related to cloud computing along with some non-technical questions.
