The interview process for this role was extremely prolonged and disappointing. After being contacted for an initial interview in mid-March, the team held a few more interviews with me over the next month, including a very detailed case study presentation, only for the hiring manager to inform me that he would be going on paternity leave for the next six weeks. Once returning, I had to wait an additional week for an update, then was rejected by a generic form letter.
The entire process took over three months, and turned out to be a complete waste of time. Communication was very limited, requiring repeated follow-ups, and all interactions were brief and of little value. There didn't seem to be any accountability from any internal party I interacted with.
I came away from this process with an extremely negative view of TELUS as a company and employer. The total disrespect for my time as a candidate was obvious and highly-unprofessional.
