Straightforward and unexpected. I had to give a mock lesson and answer questions from the interview panel. I pretended that the panel were students in order to make the process of giving a mock lesson feel more authentic. Despite the straightforward interview process, it did however take a long time for the company to confirm the job offer. Knowing what I do know, I would have asked more about work place culture and management styles.

Interview
Easy. Friendly interview with presentation of lesson plan. Panel then had a Q&A session in relation to scenarios. Scenarios were related to classroom, student behaviour, welfare issues etc. Then standard questions from panel about why do you want to work here? Ambitions? What career development can we support you in?
