I applied online. I interviewed at Stanford University
Interview
I didn't get past the initial email offering me a phone screening. Because I still have a full-time job as an Executive Assistant for a high tech company I had to write a quick response as to my availability. In my haste, there was a minor type-o. That infraction cost me the interview. My advice is to proofread all of your emails carefully before you hit "send".
I applied online. I interviewed at Stanford University (Palo Alto, CA) in Jan 2026
Interview
Lengthy
Applied on 12/26 and went through 7 interviews - they then asked for SEVEN references along with an email that I was a finalist, to then saying sorry we are keeping the position open for more candidates
So you wasted my references

Question 1
Give me a scenario of what you would do if there was a critical task and you could. Not get ahold of your director
Expect a long drawn out interview process. Sometimes it is shorter. Stanford does not move quickly with most things. Be patient. Keep in touch with recruiter. Be sure to share that you want stability and are interested long term.
