I had to complete a small questionare with my resume and cover letter submission, such as why was I looking for a new position, did I have any IC characterization experience and a few other questions that I can't recall. Within 1 week, I received a phone call from HR setup the interview this the hiring manager, who was a Sr. Hardware Engineer. I did not realize that it would be a technical interview and was nervous immediately after I was asked technical questions because I had not been notified there will be a technical interview for the first phone screen.
