Question 1
Calculate probability of getting heads x times from flipping a coin y times
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Spyfu (Scottsdale, AZ) in Sept 2015
Interview
The interview was one of the lengthier processes, involving an online quiz, a phone interview, homework, a screen sharing interview, and an in-person interview. This company wants to find out how you think first, then know more about you as a person, since they work primarily with stats and numbers.
The in-person interview was very long and thorough, with people coming in and out of it to get a read, as the final step at SpyFu is to meet and review potential candidates as a team. I got the impression that it went very well, and I was told that I would hear back soon, but I received no further contact, even after I followed up a week later to thank them again for their time and inquire about the outcome. I thought this was unprofessional and discourteous.
