I submitted my application on Indeed, and it was reviewed two weeks later. I was then scheduled for an interview on December 30, 2024. However, 10 minutes before the interview, I was informed that it would be postponed to January 2, 2025, because the interviewer was unwell. I found this last-minute postponement frustrating, especially since I had already prepared for it.
The HR representative apologised for the inconvenience and appreciated my understanding, but the interviewer did not acknowledge the situation. During the interview, the questions asked were relatively standard. I admitted I may not have been fully prepared as this was my first interview after completing my degree. However, I felt I couldn't present my candidacy and showcase my skills and experiences because it seemed like the interviewer had categorised me as a typical Gen-Z candidate, leaving me little room to articulate my values effectively.
