RED FLAG 🚩 What a joke company & process.
Recruiter reached out to me MULTIPLE times on linkedin… finally agreed to meet and go through the process. I waited on the zoom call for 15 minutes with him no showing and disconnected, to which he called my cell 5 minutes later and asked me if I could rejoin, because he had a late lunch. Asked me about my experience briefly, a little about the job - the vibe was “I have about 20 more people to call shut up and listen” biggest red flag he said was “we will not provide feedback after interviews, as we have a lot of applicants”. Yikes.
They sent me a coding assessment on CodeSignal, which was not even in their tech stack (lol) it was an express, sequelize and react exercise… recruiter specifically told me it would be in their stack (Nest, TypeORM and React. I said whatever, started the exercise. You have 1 hour to familiarize yourself with a codebase that is poorly written, and decently sized. 4 challenges, (migration, endpoint work, ui work). Straight forward, not a lot of time to familiarize yourself with the code. submitted it (mind you this is at 8pm as it is on your own time).
An hour after submitted, I got a generic “we’ve decided to move forward with other candidates”. So a human didn’t even look at anything written. Next day, the recruiter reached out and asked to set up the next interview. At this point I had seen enough and told them I wasn’t interested anymore and wish to drop from the process. I can only imagine how this company is ran, if this is their interview process.
