I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Socure (New York, NY) in Jan 2019
Interview
The interview process was standard but very thorough and engaging for the most part. I applied online and was contacted the following day for a phone screen. The conversation with the recruiter was very personable and I got a good sense of the culture of the organization. The recruiter also left enough time for me to ask a good amount of questions which I appreciated. I was then moved forward for a second phone interview with the hiring manager. I really enjoyed the conversation as well and we discussed the role in-depth and the team member the organization was ultimately seeking. Again towards the end, the hiring manager also left room for me to ask questions. From there I was contacted for an on-site interview which lasted for 3 hours (which although was lengthy went by quickly given the conversations!). I met with 3 members on the People team, including the hiring manager from the phone screen. I appreciated being asked different sets of questions by each team member, how prepared and thoughtful everyone was throughout the process as well. I was told at the end I would hear back from the team next week. That following Monday received a call from the recruiter sharing in detail with me that while I was a top finalist I, unfortunately, was not selected for the role. This wasn't the best news to hear after preparing and going through so many stages but she was so thoughtful and shared with me the exact reason why, which I was grateful to learn.
I thought overall I had a really great candidate experience and enjoyed getting to know the team. My only advice is that it would have been even better to offer a recruitment exercise to better determine the skill sets of candidates.
