I applied through university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Social Tables (Washington, DC) in Apr 2015
Interview
I interviewed with the head of Business Development. He was a nice enough guy, but seemed kind of like it was my immense privilege to get a phone call with him. He went on to ask all the classic cliche awful interview questions "What is your greatest weakness?" , "How would you rate your resume?" and so on. I was hoping an innovative startup would try to get to know the actual person applying. But what I took from the interview was that they didn't really care about employees who worked in that role, they just need people to pound the phone.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Social Tables (Washington, DC) in Sept 2016
Interview
long process, 2 30-40 Min Phone interviews, then in office round table with 3 directors about position and 3 directors about the culture about 90 more minutes... thought every step of the way went well which is why I continued to pursue the position... guess i was wrong somewhere along the lines there because I didn't get an offer... life! office was nice though and majority of the interviewers were friendly... seems like a pretty young company and cool hip place to work.... in initial walk around in office people are at their desk playing catch and listening to rap music... lol, cool opportunity though, I think I'd be more upset if the pay was good and i didn't get the position

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Social Tables (Washington, DC) in Aug 2016
Interview
The interview process is entirely too long. I had FOUR interviews and was then contacted me and said that they weren't considering my application any more. Three phone interviews (entirely excessive) and one round-robbin type interview in person. The people were all very nice, just an incredibly infuriating process. The in person interview is slightly intimidating theres a normal part with three people from the team you've applied for, then a culture fit section with three random employees.
Thank you for your feedback on the interview process. The screening and interview process at Social Tables is more extensive than many other companies. We take hiring very seriously and do take extra time to ensure that we get the right people in the roles where they will thrive. It sounds like your experience wasn't ideal and I'll check in with the team to ensure that we are setting expectations better up front about time to hire and the interview process and purpose.
