I applied through other source. I interviewed at Snaplii (San Jose, CA) in Jan 2026
Interview
Unethical Process: Required to spend personal money during the interview.
Forced Financial Transaction: The most concerning part of this interview was that I was explicitly required to spend my own money to buy a gift card/product within the app. I was told this was to "experience the app," but legitimate companies provide test accounts or vouchers for this purpose. Asking candidates to pay out of pocket is highly unprofessional.
Disguised User Research: The interview felt less like an assessment of my skills and more like a forced user survey. After I made the purchase, the questions focused almost exclusively on product feedback (likes, dislikes, improvements) rather than my professional qualifications.
most of the sr mgmt at this company unfortunately lack any kind of business acumen. additionally they have 0 respect for your time, making last minute interview scheduling requests at 9pm the night before just to cancel an hour before the day of. seriously think i dodged a bullet here and this company clearly has 0 professionalism and is run by clowns. fyi most of their empoyees cant even speak proper english and they have such a negative attitude when interviewing as if you're the one begging for their time. red flags all around. run.
