I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Smart in Mar 2022
Interview
Remote screening with HR. Then a recruitment task.
I failed at the task, but I got comprehensive feedback, explaining me in some detail what I did good and wrong. It gave me an idea what I should improve.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Smart (London, England) in Oct 2022
Interview
Good first interview, mostly a chat and a couple of simple tech questions with their dedicated hiring person, followed by a (sigh) take home programming test.
The programming test is trivial, and can be completed in easily less than 30 mins, so at least it's mercifully short. ( However it is difficult to figure out what they are actually testing with it, as it has so little substance ). It is to parse a web server access log file and produce some simple stats from it, pages with most hits, pages with most unique hits. That was submitted with a couple of days, and then I was ghosted.
The recruitment consultant I was introduced through enquired a few times and was told they were still keen on me, and the HR person was looking to push forward, but then nothing. No response whatsoever after having taken the time out to both interview, and do their tech task.
I found this frustrating, and not a little rude.
