      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Skyword (Boston, MA) in Apr 2016

      Interview

The interviewing process is extremely organized. They have a process in place, where everyone involved has a chance to offer an opinion. Typically it begins with a phone screen and copy editing test. If you do well on both, you're brought in for a formal interview with a variety of associate directors and hiring managers.

      Interview

I went through two rounds of interviews. The first was a screening interview followed by a second group interview. The waiting period before hearing anything after either one was very long. I was given some feedback after the second interview.

Phone screen followed by meeting with several team members. Follow up video call with hiring manager. Questions were easy but repetitious, like none of the team asked the other interviewers what they were going to ask.

      Editorial Manager Interview

      19 Sept 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Skyword in Sept 2019

      Interview

I was contacted by email by one of their HR recruiters after submitting a resume and cover letter online. We scheduled a phone interview for a few days later (this was around Labor Day, so there was a holiday to deal with). As I waited for a call , I received an email at about ten minutes after the scheduled time. The HR recruiter wrote he was in a meeting that ran long and asked to reschedule the phone interview for another day. I, of course, said yes and offered up a couple dates and times. I received no response. I emailed again after couple of days after that, for about a week, and I never received a single response. To schedule an interview, cancel, and ignore follow-up emails is one of the most unprofessional things I have seen in an interview process. I honestly cannot imagine how their company is run if this is how their HR department functions.
