I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Skyword (Boston, MA) in Jul 2025
Interview
Pretty standard interview process, 4 conversations. 1 with the recruiter and 3 with leaders. Questions were all pretty simple, and all questions asked on my end were answered.
The process was slow, and they decided to go with another candidate. No feedback was given other than an auto generated email. Would’ve been nice to know how I could’ve done better during the process.
Thank you for taking the time to interview and share this. I’m sorry our process felt slow and that you received a non-specific decision update—that’s not the experience we aim to provide. We’re reviewing our BDR hiring steps to tighten timelines and ensure candidates have a better experience whenever possible. If you’re open to it, I’d value a quick call or email so we can learn from your experience and share takeaways. Thank you again for the time you invested.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Skyword in Oct 2023
Interview
The interview process was very straightforward to get on the freelance content writing roster. Only one interview needed with a few writing samples/portfolio provided. I was most impressed by how honest and transparent they were with payment terms.

Interview
Overbearing, drawn out and patronizing multi-step process reflective of an inexperienced executive team incapable of making decisions independent of one another. And when your Hiring VP explicitly expresses a disdain for the industry they represent, that tells you all you need to know folks!
