I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sisu Data (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Started with a screening round, which was a handy question that tested some programming constructs, I enjoyed it. The next rounds were then another coding round (LRU cache) and then a system design. The interviewers were pleasant and interactive. What was not so pleasant was getting a generic reject after, and my request was feedback was ignored. I requested feedback by emailing them again and was ignored again, that was weird and a first for me.
I was contacted by email to apply for their product management role. I responded very quickly thereafter (30m later) with my availabilities and never heard back. The next week, I sent a reminder, and was told 3 days later that they had already hired a candidate when that email was sent. I tried asking regarding another role, and was told I "didn't have the right background for it", despite not even having applied or sent in a resume yet. Overall it was not a positive experience.
