      Senior Python Developer Interview

      4 Mar 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Warsaw, Masovia
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sigmoidal (Warsaw, Masovia) in Apr 2021

      Interview

Didn’t get the job, but I’d apply again I applied to Sigmoidal 2 or even 3 times. Here I want to share the time I didn’t get in because it’s the best example of how the company operates: Process & Stages The interview process moved quickly - not in the sense that it was short, but that each stage followed the next without long delays. There were about 5 stages (but I’m not 100% sure), which included: standard HR interview, an assignment, technical interview, an interview with a senior consultant to assess my soft skills, and one more. They were clear about wanting to move through the stages quickly while at the same time warning me that the final decision might take longer. Initially this was a bit confusing but they were extremely transparent and always available, so I never felt anxious. The interviews themselves were tough. At every stage, I was pushed to my limits - not just with hard technical questions relevant to real-world projects but also with soft skills and communication challenges. They wanted to understand how I approached project development and how I took ownership of different components. Communication Everyone involved seemed genuinely interested in me and actively listened to what I had to say. It was honestly a fantastic experience. Every stage and even every email felt personalized. The recruiter I worked with was available almost 24/7, whether by email or phone. They were always transparent and proactively checked if I was still interested. We even stayed in touch long after the interview process ended. Feedback One thing that really stood out to me was their commitment to providing transparent and actual feedback. After every stage, I received detailed insights into my performance - what I did well and what I needed to improve. Even though I ultimately didn’t pass the interview with their senior consultant, they gave me honest, detailed feedback outlining exactly why I didn’t make it and even offered recommendations on what I should work on. This was the first time I had ever received that level of dedication and transparency from a company.
