Without going into too much detail, the interview lacked a sense of structure. Additionally, I do not believe the manager I spoke with was actively listening to the responses I provided her. The manager I interviewed with shared little information about the company or further details about the role itself. She shared much enthusiasm about growth she had experienced within the company. However, after I asked her about growth and potential career trajectories for a candidate, she immediately responded with a defensive tone. She informed me that advancement would not be possible for 2 or 3 years from the date a candidate would start. When the interview came to close, the manager advised the next steps would be to speak with two other potential colleagues and that I would hear back later in the week. However, she sent me an email the next day after the interview stating they have chosen to move on with other candidates in the hiring process.

First round was with the hiring manager, second round with two team members, then a writing task. The final round would have been a culture chat. I didnt make it past the writing task but the team was very nice and it was a great interview experience.
