Interview
Applied and heard from a recruiter to schedule a screening interview two days later. Screening call was 30 mins where they asked why I want to work for Shopify and gave me an opportunity to ask a bunch of questions. Next round was life story - pretty self explanatory - just chat about your life story! Next round was reverse life story where I had to perform a life story interview on an existing recruiter. Final round was a deep dive into my work experiences. Such an awesome interview process; everybody was super friendly and it felt very relaxed the whole time.

Interview
3 stages very slow. Very little communication before each round. It took about 3.5 weeks to get feedback on my interview. Although I sould interview again to.give them another chance

Interview
I have had an interview with Shopify in the past, and although I was declined, it was an overall 'human' and pleasant experience - they had really encouraged me to apply at Shopify again in the future and that I would be a great fit! This experience alone made me want to be part of the TA team because the recruiter was incredible at keeping me up to speed throughout the process.
8 months later, I applied again after gaining more experience in my field, and Shopify booked the Life Story interview only 10 minutes after I applied. I was very excited and spent all weekend preparing.
When it came to the interview, the recruiter showed up late and seemed uninterested in me, both in her body language and in the minimal questions she asked. It felt uncomfortable and as though she did not want to be there. An interview that was scheduled for 1 hour could have been done in 20 minutes, had I not prepared several questions to learn more about the role and Shopify. It seemed that the recruiter had made a decision about me before we even got on the call.
In addition, the rejection email was generic and without reasoning. This second interview was a completely different experience from the first one I had last summer, it was like interviewing with two different companies.
