I had three really great interviews after the initial recruiter found me on LinkedIn. First a phone call with the manager for the role, then a Skype interview with HR, then an in-person interview in Toronto. These were really just conversations, we could both find out about each other. A very positive experience. They said they wanted me to come to Ottawa for a face to face with execs. So I was pretty pumped, even ready to move to Ottawa. Then nothing. Nothing at all. No email or phone call, they didn't reply to my query about next steps. I'm not sure if they just didn't think I was a fit, but it's bad practice not to let someone know where they stand after putting so much effort and emotion into possibly working for this exciting company. Even if they had said, sorry, not a fit, I'd be happy, giving them great reviews. But this was so unprofessional to not get back to me at all.
