I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Shift Technology (Paris) in May 2022
Interview
I have passed all interviews by video (1 HR, 1 online technical test on competitive programming issues, 2 other technical interviews by video). Surprisingly, no data science question ever asked! I had questions only about my CV and Brain Cheesers.
Recruitment process very disorganized too. For example: first contact was not with HR. Questions about the CV and my motivation with the technical team. I was advised, for example, to study a different subject of the interview twice. Basically, we couldn’t get two people from the enterprise together with the same instructions and information.
The worst part was the refusal feedback. I had very good feedback in all the technical interviews, such as a very good level of algorithmic knowledge and good previous experiences, but I would not be taken because I had difficult to adapt to a "diffuse environment". I wonder myself in which moment that skill was evaluated.
Observation: I kindly reported to the intermediary recruitment company that they had given me bad instructions for the last interview . I think either it wasn’t well taken, or they made up an excuse to pick another candidate.

Pour ma part les entretiens ont plutôt consisté à chercher la petite bête qui justifierai un refus.
Les sujets abordés ont été, l'algorithmie, la programmation orienté objet, une étude de cas sur le pricing d'un sinistre, les séries temporelles, les filtre de kalman, les systèmes de recommandations, la gestion des variables catégorielles après avoir répondu à toutes ces questions en reprenant même parfois l'interviewer sur des imprécisions de sa part, on me pose des questions sur des requêtes SQL (à aucun moment dans le process il n'a été convenu qu'on traiterai sur ce sujet, qui d'ailleurs n’apparaît pas sur mon CV) j'ai su répondre à la première, j'ai echoué à la deuxième question qui concerné un cas d'application de clé étrangère.
Après une semaine d'attente je me fais recaler.
Résumé 49 réponses corrects 1 erronée.
