I applied online. I interviewed at Sallie Mae (Indianapolis, IN) in Mar 2026
Interview
Interview was apart of a hiring event they were having. I interviewed with one person and they decided to move me forward to the next round immediately. In my second interview I did very well and just got my offer today. My only tip would be to ask great questions, and don’t be afraid to bring notes. Don’t rely heavily on them but bring them nonetheless.
Quick and easy zoom. Lasted about 10 minutes. Simple questions. Second interview three days later. I haven’t gone in for last interview yet , but hearing good things about getting in.

Interview
Applied, three weeks later I received an email for an initial phone interview. Then went in two days later for the interview person interview and I was supposed to meet with multiple people that day. I ended up only speaking with one person and after about 20 minutes, she stopped the interview to see if anyone else was available to interview me. She left the room, and when she came back, she said no one else was there to finish interviews, which I found strange. However, I just thought that there was just some miscommunication. So she apologized and said that HR would be emailing me back in a few days for my next interview and next steps. However after almost a week of waiting, they sent me a generic rejection email. I can’t believe I wasted my time with these people and I won’t be applying again. I thought the interview went well, but apparently it didn’t. I think these companies need to stop playing with people and their time. There are people out here that truly want to work, but I am tired of these companies and their disgusting processes. Don’t put the job up or conduct interviews if you’re not going to actually hire people, especially those that meet the qualifications.
