I don't know Dutch, but I wanted to try my luck by applying anyway. HR responded to my application in English, saying that my CV was impressive, and asked where I live in the Netherlands. After I replied to her I was only 20km away from the company, unfortunately, there was no response for 2 days. When I sent a reminder email, she said they were looking for a candidate who speaks Dutch. Still don't understand why I was asked where I live in the first place instead of language, if Dutch is a must.
