      Full Stack Software Developer Interview

      17 Aug 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Ritual (Toronto, ON) in Aug 2017

      Interview

First interview was an online coding interview, where I basically have to implement a hardware adder and a multiple on software (same concept as full adder but in software). Second on on-site at their Toronto location. It was mainly focused on coding. I was interviewed by two people. Both were nice and helped out. I couldn't finish coding the solution it with in given time. If anyone need advice, practice writing code on a paper/whiteboard. Even if you know a solution, you would not be able to code it in time if you didn't practice enough time on a paper. Thought process goes in to coding on paper is very different from when you use an IDE.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Ritual (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2019

      Interview

It merely lasted 5 minutes. Interviewer was not at all interested in knowing anything. She kept speaking "so yeah so yeah" and was not even slightly interested in sharing more details. All the questions I asked about company were straight off ignored or given rotten sentences from their about page. I asked about technologies they use to which she replied we don't use just single technology. We use many technologies. Good. She didn't even ask a single technical question to me. All she asked was why do you wanna work for Ritual. That's it. And, she proposed to hung up in between conversation while I was speaking. At the end, I got auto generated email. Very negative and frustrating experience. I wish I had not contacted that arrogant HR person on first place.
