Interview with recruiter
Interview with hiring manager
Assignment that you are given 48 hours to turn in but only 4 hours to complete
That’s as far as I went.
Luckily I had just accepted another offer but. I didn’t get a feel from the process that there is an appropriate work/life balance.

Question 1
One of the MANY:
A campaign sends a group of leads an email once every other day for 3 days. Each email has a 28% reply rate. A lead cannot reply to an email after the next one in the campaign is sent (e.g. someone cannot reply to Email 1 after Email 2 has been sent). And if a lead does reply to an email, they are taken out of the campaign and stop getting messages. What is the probability that a lead will not reply to any email? What is the probability the lead will reply to either the second email or the third email?
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Rippling in Apr 2022
Interview
- An easy interview process, but I found it odd that I spoke to the head of marketing + ops before the hiring manager. If I spoke with the hiring manager first, I would have not continued with the process. Super very fast turnaround between interviews (3 interviews in 4 business days). Mutually decided not to move forward with the interview process after meeting with the hiring manager. He described the culture as "very intense" and a typical workday as 12 hours with an always-on email/Slack mentality. I would have continued interviewing with Rippling if there was more work/life balance.
Interview Process:
1. Call w/ recruiter (30 min)
2. Call w/ head of marketing + operations (45 min)
3. Call w/ the hiring manager (45 min)
