Resume review, then take home assignment with heavy controls flavor. Code review, then onsite interview (whiteboarding, etc.) at their office in NYC. Overall, the interview process was very long. Make sure you email the interviewer frequently.
I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Reflex Robotics (Brooklyn, NY) in Jun 2024
Interview
First the company will reach out and schedule a phone screen, and the next round will be a technical “rapid-fire” interview where there is a video call and a slide deck full of various technical questions ranging from basic to reasonably difficult but none are unsolvable or trick questions. They value correctness and understanding over speed (as one would hope) but do expect you to have both a broad and deep understanding of your field and to be able to do creative problem solving on demand. Their team is definitely very high caliber and the interview process is one of the most in-depth that I have been through in terms of technical evaluation. But to me that is encouraging for the outlook of the company and means my coworkers will know what they are doing. It was kind of fun honestly, just make sure you’re rested and appropriately caffeinated.

Question 1
All sorts of high-level understanding and familiarity questions relating to engineering principles, understanding of various components & manufacturing methods, design methodology, some specific problems, and the final step is a robotics CAD design challenge.
