I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rakuten
Interview
Step1: You are given a Codility test to answer at your own time. It is timed though.
Step2: Video recorded interview. You are asked 5 general questions.
Step3: Skype interview (if you pass the first 2 steps, you're lucky)

Question 1
The codility is easy. If you know your math, you can pass the exam. I am not a fan of recorded video interview. You are asked 5 general questions. For me, it's hard to answer, not because I didn't know what to say, but because I was seeing myself in the screen. It felt too unreal, unnatural, compared to when you are actually talking to the actual person. So I ended up talking only a bit for each question. I didn't get through the skype. So I am not sure where I actually failed. At least I know I passed the exam. But for video interview? I really hope it will be an actual live interview to make it more realistic and engaging.
Applied online. Initial screening with the hiring manager. Questions from resume. Technologies used. Java basic questions. Salary expectations. About the role and team. Leetcode question - no coding - just mention the approach. System design question.

Leetcode question - no coding - just mention the approach. System design question.
Disorganized, no HR reached out to discuss about the administrative details and salary and benefits, the hiring manager reached out directly, scheduled a meeting and asked about HR questions(visa, RTO etc.)
The hiring manager was late for over 5 mins minutes, no apologies, no greetings. Negative experience
The interview covered Python libraries, networking, and my software engineering experience. While questions were basic, they can be tricky for seniors. Review your definitions alongside your past projects to succeed.
