After the preliminary phone call with a recruiter I was asked to come to the Provo office for a tour and for my in-person interview. The tour was fine and the recruiter I worked with was very pleasant. My first face-to-face interview in the Provo office went very well and the interviewer said that I fit the qualifications for what he was looking for and was a great candidate for the position; however, the interviewer walked me to the entrance and wished me a safe trip home and no one told me that I was expected to have a follow up interview that day.
Several days later they called and informed me that I had missed my second interview. I told them that no one had informed me about a second interview, they asked me to come back for a second interview. I was in a different state, but happened to be at a conference that Qualtrics was presenting at. The recruiter said she would set up an in-person interview at the hotel with one of the hiring managers. So the interview ended up happening but the interviewer didn't know my name, clearly didn't even see my resume, and didn't take any notes during the interview process.
Two weeks later I get a call saying that they decided to go with another candidate. This was a frustrating experience for me as I had been meeting and working with recruiters from Qualtrics for more than two years while I was attending college. I was very excited to interview and felt like the phone interview and my first face-to-face interview went very well. The second interview was awful because the interviewer clearly didn't care about it at all. She wasn't even sure on what role I was applying for. Qualtrics let me down and I'm glad they did because I ended up getting several offers for other positions in Utah that pay 30-40% higher.
