Once your initial application is approved, they send you a link to an assessment. It covers math (percentages, mostly), vocabulary, and basic customer service practices. If you pass the exam, they then email you a link to a video interview. You never speak with an actual person, they just throw a few really detailed and personal behavioral questions at you and expect you to give them a fully fleshed out answer in perfect STAR format in 3 minutes with only 30 seconds to prepare. You record yourself answering the questions; luckily, they give you two attempts, but if you're not expecting the kinds of questions they're asking, it's going to be difficult to come up with a fitting story and relay it how they want. I don't know what comes after that as I got an email a few days later saying I hadn't been chosen to move forward, but I've heard it's a Zoom meeting with a recruiting agent and it is just as impersonal and rigid as everything else. I have a really difficult time speaking about myself, especially if it's a timed recording, but my entire interview would have gone much smoother if I'd had the chance to sit down and speak face-to-face with a real person. Maybe that happens later on in the process, but you have to gruel through some terribly draining steps before that. I'm well-qualified and suited for this position, but this interview system is impossible - just read a few other reviews and you'll see that most agree with me. I really wanted this job, but this experience has pretty much turned me off from Progressive. Maybe you'll have better luck.
