      Interview

Phone screen, followed by a 60 minute tech interview. The email prior to that said "You'll be sharing your screen, be sure to have a coding environment which enables your preferred coding language” and “you’ll be able to use resources you'd normally use when coding." During the interview, I was sent a Coderbyte link and asked to write out the solution in that context. I didn’t have access to my IDE. I’m sure it wasn’t intentional, but I did feel a bit blindsided that the interview was different from what I’d been told to expect. Regardless of what they tell you in earlier stages, you'll want to expect a more traditional white boarding interview without access to resources you would normally use, and prepare accordingly.
