      Project Coordinator and Analyst Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at PriceBeam

      Interview

The hiring process was unnecessarily long (6 weeks), consisting of three interviews and an aptitude test. The first interview was a 30-minute session with two members of the management team. It was a positive experience, as they made me feel at ease, and the questions were not difficult. The second interview involved an assessment where I had to put together some notes into a presentation following a detailed brief. The presentation lasted 10 minutes and was followed by questions relevant to what I had presented. I didn't feel tricked, and the overall experience was fair and engaging. The third interview marked the beginning of the unpleasant part of the process. This interview was with one of the managers from the first two interviews and a co-founder. It felt uncomfortable due to numerous questions with little engagement from the interviewer, creating a cold atmosphere. Unlike the previous interviews, I was not given a specific date for feedback, only told that they would get back to me "relatively soon," which felt very unprofessional. A few days later, I was informed about the aptitude test for the first time. Despite asking for details, none were provided. Due to issues with their previous provider, I waited two weeks before receiving the test link. The test, which was supposed to be 10 minutes, ended up being 20 minutes long and consisted of two parts: problem-solving and a personality test. The problem-solving section felt unnecessary and irrelevant, while the personality test was just a standard assessment. A week after completing the test, I was told they wouldn’t proceed with my application due to insufficient experience for the position advertised. Although the first two interviews were very positive, the process went downhill afterwards. I felt almost overwhelmed after the third interview, the problem-solving test seemed completely unnecessary, and it took too long to receive an answer. It was very disappointing to complete the entire process, especially the aptitude test, only to be told that I lacked sufficient experience, something that should have been clear after the first or second interview. I recommend revisiting the interview process, as some steps felt unnecessary and extremely time-consuming. Additionally, there should be more transparency regarding salary and other benefits, which were never mentioned throughout the entire process. Please remember that everyone's time is valuable, including those seeking employment.

Thank you for the feedback. We have and will apologize again for the long delay to get back to you with the aptitude test. As mentioned we were switching between providers and that in itself took longer than expected. Regarding your application, you did well in the first two interviews but really didn't do very well in the third, showing several challenges versus the requirements of the role. The two online tests that you seem to dismiss above confirmed some of the points discovered in the 3rd interview, and on balance we could not move forward with your candidacy. If you wish to discuss in further detail, please do not hesitate to reach out to the hiring team that you were engaged with. We wish you all the best for the future.
