I applied online. I interviewed at PowerSchool Group (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2020
Interview
The process consists in 2 steps. First, you take a online CCAT test (recorded and timed) and a online Personality test (not recorded and not timed); They have to be submitted together. Then, if you pass, there’s a interview with the manager.
Ps.: they do these online tests to check if you are a good fit for the company, but clearly, they are not very organized themselves. First they send you a message saying they need to schedule a call with you to start the process. You’d think is a interview, but it isn’t. When they call you, is just to tell you that you need to take these online tests. I’ve submitted both tests together and waited a few days but didn’t get a reply. When I texted them back to follow up, they said that they never received my personality test and asked me to take the 2 tests again. So I did but I didn’t pass. They don’t tell you what score you need to achieve, neither what score you got. And you don’t get to know more about the job position either.

This company has no problem with wasting people's valuable time. After applying you are asked to take 2 assessments. I took them and received email afterwards informing I had passed the assessments and HR would like to schedule a phone interview. Power School went dark, never responded to my emails. Months later I receive email they are moving forward with other candidates. What a joke. Maybe have a phone screening before asking people to waste their time taking the assessments if you have no intent of ever interviewing them ?

Seamless. Terrific recruiting department. Responsive, courteous and encouraging throughout the entire process. Everyone I met (from the VP to the receptionist) was warm and welcoming. Gorgeous campus. Obvious room to grow. Liked what I saw and asked for the job. In the end, I was not a match for this position but I left feeling like in no way did I waste my time. More companies should be as responsive as they were overall. I was not one time left in the dark wondering where the process would lead next. Left good impression overall. Much of this credit goes to the recruiter directly.
