Hi there, I'm the CEO and co-founder of Pi. Thank you for your feedback. I'm very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your interview process with us. I agree that a two week wait for reference calls is unacceptable. I run this part of the process, so this is my fault. As you mentioned, we do take feedback seriously, and I've brought your comments to the attention of our recruiting team. We will debrief to determine how to improve.
You’re also correct that we routinely provide feedback to candidates, even if we don’t make an offer, to explain why we decided it wasn’t a fit. We do this out of respect for candidates - I'm sorry that this came off to you differently. It would actually be much easier for us to just say "sorry we’re not going forward with an offer" rather than to be honest and open as to why we didn't think it was a fit. I understand this can be especially painful when you make it so deep into the process. I will work with our team to examine how we can improve this as well.
Thank you for taking the time to consider a position with us. We wish you the best of luck.
Sincerely,
John MacDonald (CEO & Co-founder)
