I applied in-person. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at PayPal (Omaha, NE) in Feb 2018
Interview
I spoke at length with a recruiter who reached out to me. She set up two interviews, one by video and one in-person. Both went very well and I felt good about my chances. But during the second interview, the interviewer mentioned it could take as many as 10-12 interviews before a hiring decision would be made. He told me I would hear something in about a week about how the process would proceed. Eight weeks and two emails to the recruiter later, I got a form email that they had decided to proceed with other candidates. I used to work at PayPal years ago, and was surprised by their arrogance and disrespect during this process. Since then, I have heard generally negative reviews from other PayPal employees.
If it takes you 10-12 interviews to make a hiring decision, your hiring process is broken. If you’re going to disrespect applicants that you reached out to and recruited, it’s going to hurt your reputation.
