I recently interviewed for a MTS position at PayPal. The process consisted of five rounds: First screening with Karat where few scenario based question and 2 easy to medium level coding questions were asked. Round 1: The first round was an online coding assessment consisting of two medium-level coding problems focused on data structures and algorithms. The problems were straightforward, and I was able to solve both within the time limit. Round 2: System design - The interviewer asked about scaling, data consistency, and handling concurrent uploads and search functionality across files. Role Specialization: This was focused on Java, Spring Boot, and system design. The questions were quite detailed, covering multi-threading, microservices architecture, and database design. The interviewer was technical and engaged, but the questions were fair. Leadership Round: The final round was focused on leadership principles, handling conflicts, and decision-making in a team environment. Unfortunately, this round left a negative impression. The interviewer seemed overly focused on work-life balance and working hours. He stated that PayPal also expects employees to work from 9 AM to 10:30 PM regularly with couple of breaks in between and implied that this would be expected. This raised some concerns about work-life balance and the overall culture.

Got a call from HR and asked for a demo project to execute. Post delivery, they called for interviews. After the technical discussion, HR will reply to the candidate about further process. Request to HR :- Please don't put "Technical Discussion" as topic where it can go in any direction but you can try putting words be more specific so that Candidate can brush up those like Design and Python
