Interview
My experience with the interview process at Pack Up + Go was unique compared to my previous interviews. The company's HR department reached out to me for an initial interview to determine if I was a good fit. After this, I was informed of the next steps in the process, which included two personality tests and three timed grammar and understanding tests. I was told these steps were taken to ensure that time was not wasted for either party. Upon completion of these assessments, Pack Up + Go reviewed the results and reached out to me if they decided to move forward with the hiring process. I was then given a creative assignment, which involved creating a slide deck pitch for an imaginary service. The assignment required me to incorporate social posts, keywords, and email headers, and I had an hour to present my work and ask any questions. This was the only interview I had with the team. The company informed me that they had three more weeks of presentations before they would make a final decision, which seemed like a lengthy process and the potential to forget about earlier presentations. While I appreciated the thoroughness of the interview process, I felt that it lacked the opportunity to get to know the company and its values. It is important for Pack Up + Go to recognize that interviews are a two-way street to ensure that both parties are a good fit. While I have had more challenging interview experiences in the past, I found this process to be time-consuming, and I did not gain sufficient knowledge about the company.

I applied and within a few weeks had an interview over the phone with a member of the team. The interview was mostly standard and they answered the questions I had.
